Directions: Stade Gerland is about 5km South of Lyon along the Rhone River, and it’s easy to reach by public transport. The city has helpfully not only put a metro stop right by the stadium, but they’ve also called it Stade de Gerland. It’s at the end of line B, which is a direct shot from the Part-Dieu train station (you’ll need to change trains a couple times if you’re coming from the city center). Bus #32 runs past the stadium as well - get out at the Stade de Gerland stop. A single ticket for either the metro or bus will cost less than €2.

Driving Directions to Stade Gerland: From Place des Terreaux in the city center, you’ll have to wind your way around a few one-way streets to get going in the right direction, so bear with us. Head west from the square toward Rue Paul Chenavard, and then turn left on Rue Paul Chenavard. Turn left again at Rue Longue, and left again at Rue du President Edouard Herriot. Turn right finally at Rue du Bat d’Argent, and then right at N6/Quai Jean Moulin when you reach the river. Turn left at N6/Pont Lafayette to cross the Rhone, and then turn right on the other side of the bridge onto Quai Victor Augagneur. You’ll stay on this road, although it’ll change names a few times, just following the river to your right. When the road is called Avenue Leclerc, it’ll turn inland a bit away from the river - you’ll stay on it. At the roundabout, you’ll take the 3rd exit onto Avenue Tony Garnier/D12, and then turn right at Avenue Jean Jaures - the stadium will be on your left.
