Directions: Stadio Renzo Barbera is about 5km north of central Palermo, so it’s a little impractical to walk (although of course you’re welcome to). From the main Palermo train station, you’d take either bus 101 or 107 to the stadium. The bus stop that’s closest to the stadium is called Imperatore Federico Stadio, and it’s just down the road from the Stadio Renzo Barbera. Bus tickets are just over €1, or you can buy an all-day pass for just over €3.
Driving Directions to Stadio Renzo Barbera: From the Piazza Pretoria in central Palermo, head east until you hit Via Roma – turn left on Via Roma. Turn right on Via Camillo Benso Conte di Cavour, and then at the roundabout turn left onto Piazza 13 Vittime which becomes Via Francesco Crispi. Stay on this road (also called SS113), which will curve slightly right and then left to become Via Piano dell’Ucciardone. At the Y, you’ll take the right fork onto Piazza Generale Antonio Cascino, which then takes a jog to the right to become Via Montepellegrino. Stay on this road as it becomes Via Isaac Rabin; it will turn to the right and go around a roundabout – you’ll take the 3rd exit onto Via Martin Luther King. At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Via Imperatore Federico. Turn right onto Piazza Leoni, which curves slightly right to become Viale del Fante. Continue on this road and you’ll see the stadium on your right.

Most of the hotels in Palermo are in or near the city center, although there are a few more business-centric hotels further from the historic sights. If your hotel isn’t right in the city center near the central train station, make sure you’re near a bus stop so you can get to the stadium easily.
