Directions: The Stadio Sant’Elia is southeast of the city center of Cagliari, and the stadium sits right next to the Mediterranean. Bus #6 runs regularly from the city center to the stadium whether there’s a game on or not, but even more often before and after a match. Alternately, you could walk from the city along the waterfront and almost run right into the stadium’s parking lots.
Driving Directions to Stadio Sant’Elia: From central Cagliari, drive along the water on Via Roma, which becomes Viale Armando Diaz. Eventually, however, you’ll have to turn right on Via Sebastiano Caboto and then make a relatively quick left onto Viale Salvatore Ferrara to continue along the water. The road will curve slightly to the right and become Circonvallazione Sud - the stadium will be on your left, and one of the many parking lots on your right.

There are some places to stay that are very close to the stadium, but just because a hotel says it’s in the city center don’t write it off - it’s only a 20-minute walk from central Cagliari to the Stadio Sant’Elia, and there’s always the bus as well.
