Hostels Near San Siro in Milan

Milan isn’t known as a cheap travel destination, especially because it’s Italy’s biggest city for fashion, banking, and business. Most of the travelers who come to Milan on a regular basis are in town for work, not pleasure, and they’re typically traveling on someone else’s expense account. So this is a city better known for its business hotels than its hostels.

Still, there are a few hostels in Milan – although most of them aren’t near the San Siro stadium. If you’re visiting Milan for a few days and want a budget bed closer to the center of the action, there are hostels (and other cheaper 1- and 2-star hotels) near the Stazione Centrale or in the Citta Studi area, to the northeast and east of the city center respectively.

But if you’ve got your heart set on a hostel that’s at least in the same general area as Stadio San Siro, then there are a couple of options to consider. You’ll find them marked on the map below with a green icon, where the stadium is marked with a red star. You can find out more about each of the hostels listed by clicking on the green icons, or you can scroll down and read a brief description about each hostel underneath the map.

Note that a couple of the properties listed are technically budget hotels and not hostels, but partly because they’re pretty cheap and partly because they’ve chosen at least in some markets to call themselves a hostel means that they’re not targeting the business travel crowd and will be accustomed to backpackers and other budget travelers showing up.

>> And if you’d prefer something a little nicer, there are lots of hotels near San Siro you can choose from instead.
