Getting There & Away
As Catania is on the island of Sicily, you’ll have to fly or get a ferry to start with, unless you’re already on the island. But that’s not hard to do, as there are regular flights and boats to and from the Italian mainland as well as other cities.

By Air
Catania Fontanarossa Airport (CTA) is the closest airport to the city - it’s only about 5km from Catania’s city center. It’s not only Sicily’s busiest airport, it’s one of the country’s busiest as well, so finding a flight into Catania, especially from within Europe, should be no problem whatsoever. There is a bus which connects the airport with the city - it’s called Alibus, and it’s only a 15-minute trip that will cost you less than €1 one-way. A taxi ride will run about €15.

By Train
If you’re coming from elsewhere on the island of Sicily, then you can get a train to Catania’s central station. The station is not in the city center, but is only about a 10-minute walk from the center, from which point you can get a bus to the stadium.

By Boat
There are regular ferries which connect Catania with Naples and Ravenna on the Italian mainland. The port where the boats drop passengers off is near the city center, where you can then get a bus to the Stadio Angelo Massimino.

By Road
From the Catania Fontanarossa Airport, head east on Via Fontanarossa and then turn right on Via Santa Maria Goretti. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Via San Giuseppe all Rena. Turn left onto Via Amerigo Vespucci, left on Via Dogali and then take a sharp right onto Via Zia Lisa. This becomes Via Acauicella. You’ll then turn right at Piazza Palestro, left at Piazza Crocifisso Maiorana, right at Via Brancato, and left onto Via Plebiscito. Via Plebiscito curves to the right - you’ll follow it to the right, and then turn left onto Via Carlo Forlanini. You’ll follow this road, even as it jogs slightly to the right and turns into Via Giuseppe Fava, until you turn right on Via Ferrante Aporti. At this point, you’ll probably see the stadium on your left. You’ll turn left onto Via Cifali, and follow it as it curves around the stadium. You’ll find parking around the stadium.
